PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) -- It's been six years since the devastating fire in a South Valley library that killed Porterville firefighter Patrick Jones and Captain Ray Figueroa.

The two entered the burning building in 2020 to make sure everyone was out safely and died in the blaze.

There are plans to build a new library.

It's expected to take a couple more years for completion.
