The ceremony was held Saturday afternoon in South San Francisco.
The Silver Circle honors people in television broadcasting who have served their communities with passion, integrity and excellence.
Dale joined Action News in 1983.
He was a beloved sports anchor and morning anchor before making the move to the evening anchor desk 20 years ago.
He continues to anchor live at 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
All the while, he's remained a dedicated reporter, going into the community day after day, telling the stories of Central California.
"The work we do as journalists, the work we do collectively, matters and our viewers depend on us. They depend on us to help provide some clarity in their everyday lives and, above all else, they need us to continue our relentless pursuit of the truth," says Dale.
Dale is one of 11 inductees honored, including three of our fellow ABC colleagues from our San Francisco sister station, KGO TV.
Congratulations to Dale and all the honorees recognized.
