"I grew up in the Ranchos, my mom still lives in the same house today," says owner Tyler Greene. "We live out here. My son goes to school out here. It just kind of made sense for a new home."
This is a smaller spot where you can go big.
"It's our 24-inch family," Greene said. "It's real popular for like baseball teams and stuff, where the kids can get their cheese and pepperoni half, and then then adults can splurge and get what they like."
They play four quarter pizza with this giant pie.
"This is our garlic chicken quarter," Greene said. "It's going to have fresh chicken, garlic, tomatoes. We put fresh cheddar cheese, and that's our white sauce."
Greene also showed us the "Revenge," which he said is his favorite.
"That's going to be our red sauce, mozzarella cheese, jalapeno, pepperoni, sausage, garlic, extra cheese," he said.
Greene's parents started Popolo's back in 1977.
"It means 'people' in Italian," he said.
The lasagna is large enough to share.
"We use fresh noodles," Greene said. "Our own homemade ground beef/pork blend for the meat. A lot of ricotta cheese, a lot of mozzarella cheese."
If you need something lighter, the salad bar is always available.
Many folks still prefer a large pepperoni.
"We put a lot of pride in what we do, and try to put the best products out that we can, at a reasonable price," Greene said.
