Evacuation warnings issued as 'Alpaugh Fire' grows to 3,600 acres in Tulare County

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Evacuation warnings are in place in Tulare County after a grass fire ignited Wednesday afternoon and rapidly expanded.

The 'Alpaugh Fire' has burned more than 3,600 acres near Avenue 42 and Road 38, according to CAL FIRE.

It is at 0% containment as of 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

The fire damaged several power poles and fences. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
