FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- You may notice some slight savings when you get your next energy bill but after PG&E rate increases, this relief may not go far.

PG&E says electricity rates for all residential customers decreased by around 2 percent starting Monday.

That means monthly bills could drop about $5 for average customers who do not receive discounts.

The company says it's thanks to completed projects allowing for the decrease.

October Bills will also have a $58 California Climate Credit.

The utility company does expect rates to go down in 2026 despite asking to up its return for investors in March, which would increase customer bills by $5 to $50 per month.

PG&E increased its rates six times in 20-24.
