FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Valley organization assisting families with young children is offering new financial help.
First 5 Fresno County will be awarding $3 million to local non-profits working with Valley families.
The group expects that money will fund about ten grantees, offering up to $300,000 per contract for a two-year period.
First 5 and county leaders hope this money will work to support more children.
"We envision a future where families with young children in our community are healthy, loved and are nurtured by all the systems that touch them," says Fabiola González, Executive Director for First 5 Fresno County. "We pursue this vision by partnering with, advocating for and investing in our community."
