Fresno Horn Barbecue location shuts down amid eviction notice

Updated 2 hours ago
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Central Fresno restaurant founded by an award-winning pit master has closed just months after opening.

Horn Barbecue, led by Fresno native Chef Matt Horn, was served an eviction notice posted on its front door, demanding the business vacate the building by June 17. The restaurant opened in January and featured Horn's signature "Texas meets California" grilling style.

The doors to the Fresno location are now locked, leaving the brand's Oakland restaurant as its only operating site. It's unclear how long the Fresno location has been closed.

The building appears to have been listed for sale on April 9, with the listing last updated on June 4.

Action News has reached out to Horn Barbecue for comment but has not received a response.
