On Monday, Fresno police announced the arrest of two murder suspects, 23-year-old Devin Senegal and 34-year-old Gerrick Franklin.
They say Senegal killed 21-year-old Adriana Gonzales in southwest Fresno last November.
She was shot and run over in the parking lot of Wayne's Liquor near California Avenue and Fresno Street.
"Her family has deeply missed her every day since then. We feel their grief. We hear about it and it's not something we take lightly," said Interim Fresno Police Chief Mindy Casto.
A few months after the crime, police identified three suspects, Senegal and 26-year-old Aaminah Norman, who they say are responsible for the murder
Investigators believe the third suspect, 29-year-old Sabrina Acosto-Ramirez, was the driver after the shooting.
"Detectives have served over 50 search warrants of various types in order to get to a conclusion on this investigation," Casto said.
On Friday, Senegal was arrested by police in Las Vegas for driving under the influence and on a warrant for Gonzales' murder.
He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
"Although I wouldn't want to say the family would get any closure from this arrest, I would say that hopefully we can give them at least a little bit of relief that the suspect is in custody," Casto explained.
However, the other two suspects, Norman and Acosto-Ramirez, are still at-large.
"The message to the outstanding suspects in this case is do the right thing and turn yourself in. I'm confident that eventually we will make an arrest on them," said Fresno Police Lt. Paul Cervantes.
Meanwhile, the other arrest announced Monday is in connection to the murder of 33-year-old Tyler Hamon in Northwest Fresno.
Officers responded just after midnight Friday morning to the Windscape Apartments on Nees near Poplar Avenue.
They found Hamon in a bedroom shot in the back after seeing bullet holes through the front door.
Police later identified known gang member Gerrick Franklin as the suspect and arrested him in Madera County on Sunday.
"He does have a history involving narcotic sales, prior robbery arrests. This individual is somebody known to law enforcement," said Lt. Cervantes.
Franklin was booked in the Fresno County Jail for murder.
