FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The shooting happened in Southeast Fresno at Chestnut and Huntington. Police received several 911 calls about gun shots in the area. When they arrived, they found a 22-year-old man in a car with several gun shot wounds. He died at the scene.
While police cannot confirm if the shooting is gang related, they have seen a recent uptick in gang activity.
"Our goal is to get into the middle of this and disrupt it, and stop the violence, and we have a lot of tactical teams working day and night, patrol officers, anything we can do to stop it," said Sgt. Mike Smith, Fresno Police Department.
Fresno police are speaking with witnesses, but so far there is no word on any suspects.
