FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno is getting ready to host the city's first flag retirement ceremony.
It's part of Fresno's celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The flag retirement ceremony takes place Saturday, June 13, at the veterans memorial in Downtown Fresno.
The event begins at 2 pm.
We sat down with Mayor Jerry Dyer to talk about the upcoming event and the displays of patriotism already being seen in the city.
