Fresno State gets big road win against Oregon State

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno State Bulldogs pulled off a come-back win in the final minute of play. It was the Bulldogs first win in Corvallis since 1991 and first over the Beavers since 2003.

Dylan Lynch, a senior kicker from Bakersfield, was the hero of the day hitting a game-winning 43-yard field goal with 0:29 to play. Jakari Embry sealed the win with a 44-yard interception return for a touchdown with just 0:04 left on the clock.



FS opened the scoring with a 30-yard touchdown run by quarterback EJ Warner, his first TD in a Bulldog uniform. The senior transfer from Rice finished the day 13/18 passing for 121 yards and an interception, his 5th at FS.

After falling behind 12-7, FS was back in front following a 44-yard TD run by Rayshon Luke. "Speedy", the junior transfer from Arizona, was the 'Dogs leading rusher running for 86 yards. Bryson Donelson finished with just 34 yards on 7 carries as the sophomore RB was playing through a hip injury.



Jaden Carillo, a sophomore DB from Clovis High, had a 42-yard punt return for a touchdown with just 0:45 before the break giving the 'Dogs a 20-15 halftime lead.



After a pair of Dylan Lynch field goals, FS had a 26-21 lead before OSU scored to take the lead with 1:19 to play. Maalik Murphy connected with David Wells for his 4th passing touchdown of the day. The junior QB from Inglewood finished the day 30/45 with 352 passing yards.

The Beavers were 0/4 on 2-pt or extra point conversions and outgained the 'Dogs with total yards 528 to 318.

Next up for the Bulldogs (2-1) is a return home to take on Southern University, an FCS school from the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Kickoff from Valley Children's Stadium is set for 7:00 PM on September 13th.
