After 3 first half turnovers, FS trailed 14-13 but came out looking like a different team in the second half outscoring the Eagles 29-0.
Sophomore Bryson Donelson, a CVC grad, led the way with a career high 167 yards and a touchdown. Rayshon "Speedy" Luke, a junior transfer from Arizona, also had a career high with 3 touchdowns and 96. Brandon Ramirez also rushed for his first career touchdown. The sophomore from SJM added a catch for 32 yards.
In total, FS ran for 351 yards showcasing the physical, run-first identity Entz wanted to build with the Bulldogs. It was the most rushing yards the program has seen in a single game in 11 years.
EJ Warner was 20/27 passing for 176 yards and two interceptions in his first game inside Valley Children's Stadium.
Jadon Pearson was again the Bulldogs leading tackler recording 6 total tackles.
It was the 5th straight home opening win for the Bulldogs (1-1) who now ready to face future PAC-12 foe Oregon State (0-1). Kickoff from Corvalis is set for 12:30 PM on Saturday, September 6th.
