Sparks are flying at Trail-Gear in Fresno. Employees are busy building the next part to help off-roading enthusiasts climb higher.
Trail-Gear Sales Manager Gary Turner said, "It's a hobby for a lot of people. It's extremely fun to go off road and go camping with the family. As well to build a race car and do some dessert racing or rock racing."
The company was started in 2005, by CEO Matt Muesser who enjoyed the hobby himself.
"He started the company and started manufacturing a few products and realized a lot of the other products were not made and a lot of people were customizing them, making them themselves," said Turner. "So we started manufacturing those products for the customers."
The company started with three products and now ships more than 1200 worldwide. Much of that work starts right here in Fresno.
Turner added, "It starts with engineering it, prototyping it, and then going to the manufacturing phase, as well as all the testing off road on our company vehicles."
Trail-Gear has tested the strength and flexibility of its products off road.
"It's very fun," said Turner. "It brings a lot of people together."
