The family-owned farm in Reedley celebrated its opening day over the weekend, welcoming families to the pumpkin patch.
The vintage steam engine is offering rides to visitors to and from the pumpkin patch for those wanting to enjoy the fall scenery surrounding the farm.
The farm says it caters to all ages, offering exciting hayrides, a nature trail, food from local vendors and your choice of any size pumpkin.
While at the farm, families can hop on board two steam engines that have been operating at the farm for nearly three decades.
"It takes a lot of expertise to maintain a steam engine because there's no parts at the store. It's a lot of expertise to do it," said Melissa Bautista, co-owner of Hillcrest Farm and Pumpkin Patch.
Train tickets are $5 and hayrides are $4.
To save money, the farm is charging families a $10 admission fee per car, only available during the pumpkin patch season.
If you do plan a visit, the pumpkin patch is open only on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through the end of October.
