Families came out for the 50th annual Clovis Fest and Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly.
About a dozen hot air balloons took off bright and early from the Clovis Rodeo Grounds.
People were able to get up close and personal with the balloons and even enjoy tethered rides.
Action News spoke to Adriana Becerra from Visalia, who woke up around 3:30 a.m. to get to Clovis and wait in line for a ride.
''I love the valley there's so many things to do, this is just another thing to add to the list super excited,'' said Becerra.
Later in the day, vendors took over Old Town Clovis for a street festival.
Clovis Fest continues tomorrow morning.
