COALINGA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A six month investigation has led to the arrests of eight people accused of trying to smuggle drugs into Coalinga State Hospital.
Coalinga police and Coalinga State Hospital police conducted a joint investigation after getting reports about meth being smuggled into the hospital.

The eight people arrested have not been identified, but authorities said they are patients and employees of the state hospital as well as family and friends of patients.
The case has been turned over to the Fresno County District Attorney's Office.
