The footage reveals a confrontation that escalated into an all-out brawl within moments. A bat can be seen during the fight.
On Tuesday, a woman highlighted in the video testified in court.
She is in the Witness Protection Program and cannot be shown or named.
"He said he needed my help because he'd gotten a call from Stacy and her mom (saying) that the ex-boyfriend was going to come and cause some trouble," the witness said about her son, Bobby, who died.
Bobby, whose full name was Raul Nunez, died with his girlfriend, Stacy Zurita.
Prosecutors say Gerardo Zurita and Leobardo Zurita killed them in a drive-by shooting.
They have each pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder.
"Gerardo was driving. Leobardo was in the passenger seat. Bobby was standing, talking to Gerardo," the witness said.
Defense attorneys focused on the witness's potential motivation, highlighting her participation in the protection program.
"Is it true that they have paid you $87,000 in rent?" defense attorney Margarita Martinez-Baly asked.
"If those are the numbers, yes, but I don't keep track," the witness responded.
"Okay, but it's a lot," the attorney said.
Martinez-Baly told the judge that the money goes to the motive behind the woman's testimony and why she may have decided to come forward.
"Well, is it going to stop after you've testified at trial?" the attorney asked about the funds.
"I don't know. Does it matter?" the witness responded.
The witness said she does not go anywhere because she is afraid of being attacked or killed.
She identified the defendants in court, the father and son, several times and defended her decision to accept protection payments.
"They've given you $10,000 for incidentals. Is that correct?" Martinez-Baly asked.
"Yeah, because the murderers knew where I lived," the witness said.
The judge is still hearing evidence in the case and will decide whether it can go to trial.
Jurors could hear about a potential motive that defense attorneys say centers around self-defense.
