FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Dozens of firefighters were able to contain a large grass fire near the Highway 41 off-ramp and "O" Street in Downtown Fresno on Saturday, officials say.

The fire broke out just after 2 p.m. and quickly spread to nearby warehouses on Santa Fe Avenue.

Two warehouses suffered minor damage.

Fire officials say they were concerned that the flames would spread to neighboring warehouses storing flammable chemicals.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire before it reached those areas.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
