Madera County deputies were called out to Chowchilla the morning of September 21 for a domestic violence call.
Officials learned 43-year-old Jose Maciel allegedly fled the scene after firing several rounds toward a woman.
Law enforcement tracked down Maciel to East Palo Alto, where he was arrested.
Authorities say a firearm believed to be used during the incident was also recovered.
He's since been booked into the Madera County Jail on several charges, including attempted murder.
