Man injured, 3 detained following shooting in Fresno's Tower District, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man was injured and three people have been detained after a fight ended in a shooting in Fresno's Tower District.

Fresno Police say the fight broke out around 12:30 a.m. Sunday near Bobby Salazar's on Olive and Linden avenues.

Police were already in the area because of the large crowds and heard multiple gunshots.

Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body and a woman who was hurt from being trampled on at the scene. Both are expected to be okay.

Shortly after the gunfire, officers pursued a car speeding away and witnessed a gun being tossed out of the car.



Three people in the car were detained near Shields and Fowler. The gun was later recovered by investigators.

Detectives are now working to determine whether those people are connected to the shooting.
