"I'm scared to live here. I really hope they do something about the crime," neighbor Cat Crossley said.
At around 5:30 pm Tuesday, Merced police received calls for a shooting at Osito Apartments on Midge and Glen Avenues.

Crossley has lived at the complex for three years and thought she was hearing fireworks.
"I looked over to my left or right from my door, and there was a dead body just laying there, and that's when I realized he was murdered," she said.
When police got to the scene, they found a 21-year-old man shot in the upper body.
One neighbor who didn't want to be identified says she's a nurse and took action immediately.
"I did chest compressions for about five minutes until EMS got here," she said. "There was nothing that could be done to save him."
He was pronounced dead on scene.
"It breaks my heart," Crossley said. "Young kid and it should've never happened."
Police say the suspect in this case fled the scene, but was found dead in the county Wednesday.
Tuesday's shooting was the second this week.
On Sunday evening, police responded to a shooting about three miles away in south Merced.
They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and say the suspect had fled.
The victim died shortly after police arrived.
"Both of these incidents appear to be isolated," Merced Police Lt. Jose Barajas told Action News Tuesday. "We don't believe anyone else would be put in danger in regard to this."
The victims and suspects have not been identified in either shooting.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect in Sunday's deadly incident.
