Multiple trucks crash on Hwy 43 causing closure in foggy conditions

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A section of State Route 43 just east of Laton was closed Friday morning after four semi-trucks crashed into each other while traveling in dense morning fog.

The California Highway Patrol says the crash happened at about 7 a.m. on Highway 43 near Cairo Avenue. This is along a popular route between Selma and Hanford.

It is unknown if anyone was injured.

The crash caused traffic delays in the area.

CHP reminds drivers to buckle up, use low-beam lights, put away distractions and most importantly, to slow down.
