KERMAN, Calif. (KFSN) -- Newly obtained video shows the fight involving Kerman Police officers, three teenagers and one of the teens' mothers after Kerman High School's graduation ceremony on Thursday.

At one point in the video, an officer is seen pushing a woman to the ground.

Police say two boys -- a graduate and another teen -- began arguing in the parking lot in front of the school's administration building after the ceremony.

Before it escalated, officers detained the graduating senior -- who they say was already on probation.

"It should have stopped there, but at some point, they had family members, emotions are high, decided to insert themselves into that situation," said Kerman Police Lieutenant Wil Barcoma.

Barcoma says it was only then that the fight turned physical, when a teenage girl hit one of the officers, and fought police as they tried to arrest her.

At that same moment, they say the mother of the graduate, who initially started arguing, got involved.

"In the process, officers pushed her away, and then she ends up falling," Barcoma said.

Both teens who initially got involved were arrested, each of them charged with challenging to fight or fighting at a school campus.

The graduate is additionally being charged with obstructing or resisting a police officer and violating court orders.

Both were previously known to Kerman Police.

Meanwhile, the teenage girl is facing charges of assaulting and resisting a police officer.

The mother is also charged with resisting a police officer.

Following the fight, the Kerman Unified School District released a statement which said in part:

"There were no issues inside the stadium or during the graduation ceremony itself, which proceeded safely and successfully for our graduates, families, and guests."
