FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The children on a school bus in Fresno County are safe Monday after the vehicle caught fire.

The California Highway Patrol says an overheated engine led to the flames.

At least four children who were on the bus at the time were able to escape.

The bus was taking the students home from Hirayama Elementary School when the fire broke out on DeWolf Avenue, north of Jensen Avenue.

No injuries were reported.
