One defendant expected to take plea deal in Keith Foster drug trafficking case

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- New development in the drug trafficking case involving former Fresno Police Deputy Chief Keith Foster. One of the defendants has reached a deal that will allow her to avoid prison time.

Action News has learned Jennifer Donabedian has agreed to plead guilty to knowing her boyfriend was a major marijuana dealer, assisting in his illegal operation, and failing to tell authorities about it. The boyfriend, Denny Foster, is Keith Foster's nephew and also a defendant in the alleged drug trafficking ring.

Donabedian is expected to formally accept the plea offer in court on September 12th. In exchange, prosecutors will recommend a sentence of 12 months probation.

Keith Foster recently rejected a plea deal and could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
