Man arrested after shooting himself in the leg in northeast Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man was arrested after authorities say he shot himself in the leg in Fresno on Monday.

The shooting happened around 4 p.m. in the area of Bulldog Lane and 6th Street, which is just a couple of blocks west of Fresno State.

He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Fresno Police Department says the man is not legally allowed to own a gun.
