Miles Elliot died last week when his helicopter crashed while helping fight a wildfire in Utah.

The 50-year-old was one of two pilots on board.
They had been contracted by the U.S. Forest Service to aid the fight against the Widemouth Two Fire.
Friday's procession drew the respect of many who knew Elliot--including family members.

"We literally grew up together all through high school, all through everything afterlife and stuff like that, and we both got interested in aviation in high school and we took the aviation science class," Elliot's cousin William Quiram said. "Then I screwed off, went to Fresno and he just took off. So and I've always been proud of him by watching him grow and go further up in his career."
Elliot served as an 'Extra-Help Firefighter' for the Tulare County Fire Department for nearly 15 years.
He also served on the Porterville Airport Committee and Little League Board.
The U.S. Forest Service reports that, as of today, the Widemouth Two Fire has burned nearly 130,000 acres and is 65 percent contained.
