The natural phenomenon takes place during a brief window each February, when the setting sun can illuminate the waterfall on El Capitan with a striking, fire-like glow.
The projected viewing period began on February 10 and runs through the 26th, depending on the conditions.
No reservations are required to enter the park during the viewing period.
If you plan to go, be aware that park rangers have established a traffic and parking management plan that will be in effect during "Firefall."
You're encouraged to use carpool and commercial vans and shuttles.
