Bradford, who is currently an undersheriff for the department, was appointed Tuesday by the Kings County Board of Supervisors and will start on November 24.
His appointment comes following the retirement of Sheriff Robinson, who submitted his letter of resignation on August 6.
Bradford is a life long resident of Kings County, graduating from Lemoore High School. After serving for the U.S. Marine Corps, he joined the local police academy and began his career with the Lemoore Police Department.
During his time with Lemoore PD, he took on roles such as a Field Training Officer, member of the Emergency Response Team, and as an investigator with the Kings County Gang Force.
In 1995, he joined the Kings County Sheriff's Office and in 2023, he was picked by Sheriff Robinson to serve as Assistant Sheriff and was then appointed Undersheriff in 2024.
