FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Loved ones are mourning the loss of a young man shot to death in Southeast Fresno.
Some could not hold back tears as they gathered for a candlelight vigil tonight. It was held at the corner of Chestnut and Huntington where police found the 22-year-old victim who was shot to death in a car Friday night. Friends have identified him as Erick Ramos.
They say he was studying business at Fresno City College and loved soccer and DJing. One close friend says he was about to go celebrate with Ramos because he finished another semester of school, and that's when he got a call about the shooting.
"I just want to say that wherever he is, I really miss him. I should have come earlier to hang out with him, to talk to him, but God decides who to take, and you never know," said Juan Rodriguez.
Police are still searching for suspects and have not released a motive for the murder. Friends say Ramos was not involved in any gang activity, and was one of the nicest people they knew.
