VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man was arrested after a pursuit on the highway ended in a crash in Visalia.

Visalia police responded just after 11 pm Sunday to Sallee Court for a possible domestic violence incident.

Once officers arrived, they learned 29-year-old David Isquierdo had left the residence.

Authorities tried pulling him over on Highway 198, but the suspect kept driving, which led to a pursuit.

Officials say the chase was called off when the driver began driving recklessly.

The man then crashed into a ditch near the Highway 99 and Highway 198 overpass, and was arrested before being taken to the hospital.

The man will face several charges once booked into jail.
