  • It's finally here! Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released in theaters on Dec. 18 and already set the recordfor most tickets ever sold on Fandango and was also named one of the top 10 films of the year by the American Film Institute. Many celebrities expressed their enthusiasm after watching the new film:

  • Lightsabers will probably never be a reality in this galaxy, but that hasn't stopped one YouTuber from creating his own version of the Jedi weapon. Check out Allen Pan's impressive burning lightsaber in action.

  • These are not the spoilers you're looking for. For those who are afraid of encountering any plot details before they see the new film, a Google Chrome extension called "Force Block" aims to keep fans from unintentionally reading any crucial details from the movie online. If users reach a page that might contain a spoiler, Force Block will display a warning before allowing access to the page.

  • Bill Hader + Ben Schwartz = voice of BB-8. The Hollywood funny men were revealed to be the contributors to the voice of the adorable droid. When they aren't too busy voicing one of the galaxy's coolest new robot, Hader is best known for his work on Trainwreck and Saturday Night Live, and Schwartz for his roles on House of Lies and Parks and Recreation.

  • Goodbye MI-6, hello First Order. Daniel Craig, who played James Bond in Spectre and other films, was revealed to have a cameo as a stormtrooper in The Force Awakens (although he initially denied he'd be in the film). You'll just have to watch and see when the secret agent man shows up.

  • In case you were ever wondering if Star Wars could happen in our own galaxy, NASA looked at eight exoplanets from our solar system and the similarities they shared with iconic worlds from the movie universe.

  • Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg posted images to the social network of his newborn daughter Maxima looking like a robed Jedi and their dog Beast wielding a red lightsaber.
