Tornado, sunset combine for stunning show from Mother Nature

A tornado by itself is a powerful sight, but this one was timed just right to coincide with the sunset, making it all the more awe-inspiring.

Thacher Paine and Laney Forness were driving along Highway 9 near Beltrami, Minn. on Sunday when they spotted the gorgeous phenomenon.

In the video posted to YouTube, the pair can be heard cursing and commenting about the size of the tornado.

Andrew Whitmyer, a meteorologist with local ABC affiliate WDAY, shared a stunning still that shows the double weather wonder from a different angle.
