You must read for 12 days to earn a prize and be entered into a grand prize gift card drawing.
All ages, languages and reading levels are invited to take part in the challenge.
This year, the Tulare County library also has a "100 Books Before College Reading Challenge" for teens ages 13 to 19.
You can sign up at a local library branch or online.
Participants can track their progress using a paper log or through the free Beanstack app.
The winter reading challenge runs through January 17.
