MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- Hundreds more UC Merced students received their degrees on Sunday morning during the second of two commencement ceremonies.
The university recognized students from the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts. They walked through the same "Beginnings" statue they walked through as freshmen.
This is the ninth graduating class from UC Merced and the first year they've worn dark blue gowns. After the ceremony, the gowns are collected and recycled to be used again.
