The joint meeting between the city's Planning Commission and City Council happens once a year.
The planning commission presents projects, conditional use permits, variances and more.
The Visalia City Council says the main topics on the agenda include an update on their three-tier growth system.
Zoning changes for emergency housing, to help meet the new state laws.
Plus, housing, and what Visalia can do to make sure we have enough homes for everyone.
The city's Mayor, Brett Taylor, is encouraging people to attend and share their ideas.
"We always love the input we get from our community. The more input we get, the better it is for us and the decisions we make," Mayor Taylor said. "At the end of the day, we are here to give our citizens what they want in our community and so we appreciate it when our members come out to share their ideas with us."
The meeting will start at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19.
It will take place at the convention center instead of city hall-- for spacing purposes.
Community members are encouraged to attend.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, September 2 at 6 p.m.
