Visalia woman arrested for allegedly performing illegal animal procedures

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Visalia woman was taken into custody on Thursday, accused of performing illegal procedures, resulting in severe animal suffering and death.

Visalia Police say the woman did not have proper qualifications or training.

They say 24-year-old Amanahy Becerra did not use proper anesthesia, leaving animals to endure intense pain.

Investigators found instances that were recorded and shared on social media.

She is now booked into the Tulare County Pre-trial facility.
