VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman has died after being hit by a vehicle just after midnight on Sunday in Visalia.
Visalia police say they were called to the area of Giddings Street and Howard Avenue for a hit-and-run. That's when they found a woman lying in the road.
The driver of the vehicle that hit her had left the scene.
The victim was taken to Kaweah Health, where she died from her injuries.
The hit-and-run is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Visalia Police Department.
