YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (KFSN) -- Yosemite National Park is wrapping up one of the busiest summer seasons in recent years.
In August, Action News reported visitors were down 10 percent due to concerns of overcrowding.
On Thursday, park officials confirmed almost 3 million visits to the park in August, which is about a 7-percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Park officials say expanded access, along with new and improved facilities, experiences and programs helped boost attendance.
If you would like to take a trip -- reservations are not required for the rest of the year.
