According to the Reedley Police Department, officers observed the boy performing wheelies on 10th Street near the Rails to Trails and in close proximity to vehicles. Authorities say that behavior violates a Reedley city ordinance.
Police attempted to stop the boy, but he allegedly fled, running through several stop signs.
Officers made another effort to detain him, but the boy accelerated away.
He was eventually located, detained, and arrested.
Authorities say he faces charges of reckless driving, obstruction, and providing a false name.
The e-bike involved in the incident was also impounded.
