Mandatory evacuations in effect north of Sacramento

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters are battling a wildfire in the area.

The fire in Yolo County has grown to 22,000 acres, forcing many people to leave their homes.

Fire crews are battling the blaze in red flag weather conditions -- including high temperatures and gusty winds.

The fire is now sending smoke across the bay area after doubling in size overnight.
