FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A local Teavana store is closing its doors this weekend after Starbucks announced, it would be closing the tea companies' locations nationwide.

The Teavana brand operates 379 stores across the country, most of those locations are in malls and one is located in Fresno's Fashion Fair Mall.

Sunday will be the last day for that store at the mall in Northeast Fresno.

It is known for selling both tea and tea pots.

Most of the other locations nationwide will be closed by spring of 2018, according to Starbucks.

3,300 employees will be affected around the country but Starbucks says they will be invited to apply for jobs at Starbucks locations in order to preserve their jobs.
