The Merced County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident as a homicide and says he may have been stabbed to death.
The incident happened on Elgin Ave near Santa Rita Grade just after 5:30 pm.
The sheriff's office says it is looking over surveillance video to piece together what happened.
