Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle on Highway 41

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A vehicle hit a pedestrian on Highway 41 near Floral Avenue. That person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say the collision happened just after 10 p.m. on Sunday.

As investigators determine what caused the crash, the road will be closed for at least another hour and a half.

Traffic is being diverted at Floral Avenue.
