The CHP says a pickup truck went off the road at Borchardt Drive and Avenue 54 just before 9:30 Wednesday morning.
That's a stretch of road just east of Alpaugh that goes into a "Y" shaped intersection.
One person is confirmed dead.
Officials have not yet said if anyone else was in the truck.
