"Everything we do every day is focused on improving the health and well-being of kids," said Todd Suntrapak, President and CEO.

Valley Children's Hospital has already celebrated multiple groundbreakings this year alone for their up and coming locations in Bakersfield, Modesto, and Fowler.
Suntrapak said the newest Central Valley location will be built in Clovis on a lot off of Herndon between Temperance and Fowler-- across the street from Clovis Community Hospital.
"Our objective is to create access to pediatric doctors no more than 30 minutes or 30 miles from families in that geography and that's what we're doing."
Suntrapak said the hospital's goal is accessibility, especially in the Valley where they have a 45,000 square mile area to serve and the Clovis expansion will make those visions become a reality. He said their $200-million worth of investments in the Valley will bring more families the same quality of care, closer to home.
Suntrapak said the Clovis campus is under development and will have primary care, but they are still fine-tuning what services will be available there.

The location is set to open next spring.
"We have a downtown site that is right next to the first five lighthouse campus, and right now were doing the same type of evaluation of what services will be offered there again closer to where patients live," said Suntrapak.
Valley Children's said the downtown location probably won't be open for a few years. In the meantime, they will keep working to fulfill their mission.
"Have the kids in this Valley be healthy and well throughout their life, to grow up and have happy, healthy, productive lives and to stamp out pediatric illness and our organization is committed to that," said Suntrapak.
