It happened just before 4 am Monday on Highway 198, near Plaza Drive.

The CHP says 23-year-old Marialuz Zarate, 30-year-old Joshua Diaz and 30-year-old Cody Robison were in a Ford pickup that veered off the roadway.
It overturned several times, and two of the victims were thrown from the vehicle.

All three died at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
