A spokesperson for Naval Air Station Lemoore said the difficult decision to cancel was due to increased security measures and evolving force protection requirements.
The air show, which was scheduled to take place on March 21 and 22, was set to feature a demonstration from the Blue Angels.
"Cancelling this event was an incredibly tough call," said NAS Lemoore Commanding Officer, Captain Shawn O'Connor, in a news release on Tuesday. "Our air show is one of the most meaningful ways we connect with our community. While we are disappointed, the safety and security of our Sailors, their families, and our guests must remain our top priority."
