Makhy Joyce, Malik Jordan and Michael Pitts have all pleaded not guilty to murder.
Action News could not show the men in court because their attorneys say identity is a key issue.
The defendants are accused of gunning down Markazsa Perry by firing more than 40 rounds last year.

It was the City of Fresno's 30th murder in 2024, and investigators believe there could have been a gang connection. They say others were inside the home where the shooting happened.
One of the witnesses is now under protection. They testified on the stand about being with the three defendants, saying at least two of them had handguns.
Their testimony went on for hours. None of it could be recorded.
The defense attorneys pressed the witness, who admitted to providing three different versions of the night and giving a false name about one of the defendants.
The attorney then reminded the witness that they swore to tell the truth.
With the men denying the charges, prosecutors have to convince the judge that there is enough evidence for the case to go to trial.
Investigators revealed a 10-second clip they believe shows the defendants moments after the shooting, running away near East Samson and South Lee avenues.
The video sent some loved ones into tears as they watched from the gallery.
In the middle of testimony, tensions reached a breaking point in the hallway, where several family members began yelling and then became physical.
It prompted a large response by sheriff's deputies, who took several people away in handcuffs.
The case is set to continue on Friday.
