CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Clovis North senior Conor Lott was announced as the 2026 B'nai B'rith award winner Monday night. He's the 2nd straight Bronco to win the award, following McKay Madsen in 2025.

The Fresno-based scholarship dinner has been recognizing the top student-athlete in the area since 1952.

"I know everybody that I've met that has it is a great person and I'm glad I get to follow in their footsteps," Lott told Action News. "They're (past winners) just nice people so that's the best part about it."

Last fall, Lott defended his state cross country title with the 6th fastest time in Division I history. He became the first repeat champ in six years but the first repeat winner to come out of the Central Section in 31 years.

While he won last year's 1600m race, Lott says an injury will sideline him from defending his title at this year's CIF State Track & Field Championships.

"While it's not the best feeling to be out, I've learned a lot about being a part of my team," Lott said. "I've learned so many more things about how much further I can push myself through this than I could have just running."

Alexander Minton from Clovis High School won the Negin Award for having the highest GPA among the nominees with a 4.78 GPA.
